CSSD working group Precision Medicine: Ethics, Politics and Culture presents The Economics of Precision Medicine: Medicine and Disparities in Health: a talk by Kristopher Hult (University of Chicago).

Abstract:
Precision medicine has the potential to have a significant impact on health by improving how doctors and patients select treatments, improving a patient's understanding of the risk of serious side effects, and creating new treatments. In this talk, Kristopher Hult discusses the economics of precision medicine and how its potential value compares to other forms of medical innovation. He also discusses who benefits from different types of innovation in precision medicine and how innovation incentives can reduce precision medicine's effects on health disparities.
